What is DatatraceDNA?
DatatraceDNA was developed in
conjunction with Australia's foremost scientific research organization the
CSIRO
(Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation) as a "central
bank grade" unique identifier far beyond that which can be achieved with
synthetic DNA.
The Datatrace company is jointly owned by
Datadot Technology and CSIRO.
- DatatraceDNA consists of
a group of molecules that can be integrated into the structural
composition
of liquids, plastics, polymers and many other materials.
- The molecules are “read”
by our special scanner than shines light onto the molecules and measures the
refraction. The scanner does not require any special skills to use.
- This unique ability to
identify DatatraceDNA codes without the need for laboratory
analysis sets our product light years ahead of chemical markers and taggants.
- The molecules are
extremely robust and can withstand 1000°C

So how can this be used in practical terms?
DatatraceDNA was developed for corporate clients needing to mark substantial
quantities of material at a realistic price and without adversely affecting
existing manufacturing procedures. Equally in the form of DataDotDNA Metallic it
can be implemented post production for marking metals and equipment on site for
clients like rail network and utilities companies.
There are many practical applications but two of the major problems in the
world today are theft of copper (and other non precious metals) and counterfeit
goods for a brief overview of how Datatrace can deter such activities please
